Welcome to Schuylkill Builders Association

Mission Statement: The Schuylkill Builders Association strives to promote and enhance the professionalism of its members and the image of the building industry; advocates best practices and reasonable uniform standards in construction to meet the needs of quality affordable housing for the general public.

The Schuylkill Builders Association was chartered in 1975 by the National Association of Home Builders with about 50 members. Today we have approximately 55 builder and associate members. The purpose of the association is to provide support and promote the residential construction industry. Membership in the Schuylkill Builders Association also includes memberships in the Pennsylvania Builders Association and National Association of Home Builders. This 3-in-1 membership provides a nationwide network that encourages positive political initiative and influence to create an environment favorable to the housing industry.

Important Information

PA Home Improvement Contractor Registration. Effective July 2009, all contractors and subcontractors who work on home improvement projects totaling more the $5,000 annually are required to register with the PA Attorney General. Compliance with the law requires the registration number to be included in all advertisements, contracts, proposals and business cards; minimum deposits with signed contracts and the Right of Recission to be included in all signed contracts. Contracts designed specifically to meet compliance with the law were developed by PBA and the PA Attorney General Office are are available to members only through the local HBA office.
